I turned 40 yesterday ... and after a weekend of being thoroughly spoilt by my lovely family, I decided I would celebrate by cycling for the day.
It was such a beautiful day in contrast to previous training rides, so I maximised on the opportunity by clocking up some BIG miles.
Just over 100 to be exact - in 6 and a half hours.
New top speed down Duncton Hill: 45.8mph - although I need to stop trying now before I end up in the ploughed field at the bottom (aka Lance Armstrong, Le Tour 2006).
Who say old age slows you down eh?
Was a bit tender climbing on my turbo trainer at 6.30 this morning however...
